DESIGNED IN IRELAND
From Ireland to Beijing, a journey into circus and acrobatics showed Jessica Doolin that the colourful, expressive performance wear she imagined simply wasn't out there. So in 2018 she created My Bubble Bum to bring that vision to life, designing every piece in Ireland to inspire movement, creativity and self expression.
HANDMADE IN WUQIAO
Behind the scenes and between the seams, My Bubble Bum pieces come to life in Wuqiao, China’s hometown of acrobats. Here, traditional Asian craftsmanship meets our bright modern spirit, blending qipao inspired silhouettes and heritage pankou details with bold geometry, signature stripes and rich velvet textures. Each piece is handmade in small batches with care, creativity and pride, or sew it seems.
VEGAN FRIENDLY
All My Bubble Bum pieces are proudly vegan friendly, made in soft stretch cotton and stretch velvets chosen for softness, stretch and lasting comfort. Designed to feel beautiful to wear, supportive in movement and durable enough for rehearsal life and the stage beyond.

My Bubble Bum is an Irish circus and festival wear brand founded in 2018 by circus performer Jessica Doolin. It's known for the Bubble Ruffle™, an original ruffle short design created by Jessica and exclusive to the brand, made in soft stretch cotton and stretch velvet. The range also includes two-piece sets and velvet leotards for aerialists, acrobats, dancers and festival goers who want something bolder and more personal than sequinned costumes.
Qipao influenced details, signature stripes and sculpting silhouettes come together in playful statement pieces designed to move beautifully with the body. Instantly recognisable, even without a label.

My Bubble Bum was founded in 2018 by circus performer Jessica Doolin, through a creative partnership between Jess in Ireland and Renjie in China. What began as a childhood fascination with Chinese design and qipaos led Jess to study in China, learn the language and build a collaboration rooted in trust and shared vision.
Renjie’s cultural heritage and expertise in traditional garment construction meet Jess’s background in circus and performance design. Together, bold geometry and signature stripes fuse with qipao inspired silhouettes and heritage techniques to create pieces that feel modern, sculpting and unmistakably distinct, including our signature Bubble Ruffle™.

Oh I love it!
I am a multi-hooper and nabbed a Lotus Unitard ASAP when they were announced. I couldn't resist the foiled pink and black velvet, and the mesh sleeves really caught my attention.
Its a beautiful and comfortable design - classy, quirky, a beautiful shape, cosy and my mobility in it is not restricted at all! I have never had as many compliments on a one-piece costume as I have done the first time I wore this one.
For a multi-hooper and the mesh sleeves are great, with added thumb holes in the velvet for that extra bit of coverage! (Being based in the Republic of Ireland, it gets cold outside and I welcome the little bit of extra coverage with open arms!)
